Here is a look at the PNW 50 F Apr 1 - Oct 31 heat units from 2002 - 2019.  2015 was the hottest and 2011 was the coolest.  This doesn't tell the whole story for each of these vintages, but does give a good idea of how much variability there is across the region from year to year.

Yes, these are great.  Is there any way to stop the animation for a given year, or print specific years?

Attached are the individual years 2002-2019.  Looks like '21 will be slighlty cooler, but still be on par with '17.

Put a picture of each year that you're serving wine on the tasting room wall and you can point & say how that year's GDD created a different wine than this other vintage.

Thanks JC, I have Vicki's 2017 spread sheet, but the new one you compiled is great.  Some of the acres might be short though.  I know I have more than 1.7 A planted.  3000 plants.  I thought it was 2.5 or so.  I'll do some checking.  Can you create a map showing the boundaries of our proposed area?

    Thanks

    Roger,

Vineyard blocks are calculated by Google maps when you draw a polygon around them.  If planted areas don't show up in the satellite photos, then they won't be accounted for.  Teresa's GSA deck overstated reality in several cases.  How could Rusty Grape have ~5 acres of vines on a 5 acre lot?

I don't have any bandwidth at the moment to work on a shape file.  Maybe I'll have time later this summer.
